Writing to Ed Miliband (a wasted effort)
Ever since he ran for the leadership of the Labour party I have written a shoal of letters offering Ed Miliband suggestions for policy or for speakng material. (Yes, I know I should get out more). All of these efforts were completely wasted, although I was invited to spend a day in Liverpool – at my own expense – to spend a day in a room full of politicians and apparatchiks, for the remote chance to make the same points which elicited no reply when I sent them by letter or email.
